-"If We Never Stop Moving..." EP available now on
iTunes, Amazon,
eMusic, Rhapsody, Napster
6.24.09 - Thank you all for coming out to the Starland Ballroom and Wave Gathering last weekend, a ton of pics and video were posted up on facebook and whatnot, check it out:
Facebook1,
Facebook2,
YouTube.
Also, a program sponsored by Windows just launched today,
they're giving away a bunch of free music, and our song Lonely
Hearts was chosen as one of them! So go grab it, it's from our
out-of-print demo we released about 3 years ago, it's free,
and this is the only place it's currently available! Do
it!
6.14.09 - Tickets for the Starland Ballroom
show will be available through us until tomorrow (Monday,
6/15) Buy Tickets.
Also, we've got another great show this weekend as part of the
Wave Gathering festival in Asbury Park, we'll be at the Saint
this Friday the 19th with our friends The Milwaukees and April
Smith, along with many others. (We'll also have tickets on
hand for the NY Dolls show if you'd like to buy them
then)
6.10.09 - Tickets to the New York Dolls show at Starland Ballroom are still available on our
merch page, the last day to order them will be
Friday June 12! We hope you can make it to this one, it's going to be an incredible show and we're pumped for it. The tickets as priced as cheap as we possibly can, much less than
Ticketmaster and the at-the-door price. And to help offset the cost even more, if you buy 3 tickets a free one is on us, so get a few friends in on the party and you'll all save some cash. See ya there!
Buy Tickets
5.17.09 - Thanks to everyone who came out and made the Maxwell's show one of the best nights ever (especially Danni who drove from Ohio), the place was jammed!!! We've got a huge show to announce, we'll be opening for the New York Dolls at the Starland Ballroom on
June 20th! This show will be incredible, we absolutely love the Dolls and Starland is a top notch club, so you know the Woods will come ready to rumble, and we need all the support we can get. Buy your tickets through us,
no surcharges, $5 cheaper than at the door, plus we'll love
you forever!
4.11.09 - The Butch Walker show was incredible, what a great crowd, we appreciate you
coming out, and thanks for all the positive feedback on the couple of new songs we played. Got some great shows coming up, next Friday we're back in Asbury Park, then Saturday we'll test the limits of our van as we truck on down to North Carolina for a college
festival. To kick off May we've got a huge show lined up at
Maxwell's in Hoboken, we'll be headlining so we'll get to play
nice and long, should be a real barnburner. We also just got
added to the playlist on Indie104 internet radio, so if you
want to do us a "solid" as the kids these days say, click
here to request and rate us!
3.18.09 - Quick update: will-call tickets for Friday's show can now be purchased in the
merch store. Place your order by 11am on 3/20, and your name will be placed on the list at the Stone Pony ticket window, just show your ID when you get there and you're good to go. Doors are at 8 and we play first!
3.16.09 - Hope everyone was able to get the advanced tickets for the Butch Walker gig, if not, they should be available at the door day of show, just call the Pony in advance to make sure. Thanks to everyone who will be coming out, it'll be our first public show with our new keyboardist Mike and we're
truly excited for it, so we'll see you there (doors are at 8,
we should hit the stage at 8:30). And if you're hip to the whole Twitter thing,
follow our
feed, hopefully we'll remember to update it once in a while.
3.3.09 - Alright, we've got a stellar date lined up, it'll be our first show back in three months and our first gig at the Stone Pony in well over 2 years, it's with Butch Walker and his band on March
20th. In between writing and working in a new member
(introducing Mike Ambrose, who kicks serious ass and also
plays keyboard), Chris snuck in a solo show where he debuted a
handful of new songs, and we just played a rocking private
party in Asbury Park that got us primed to take this show back
on the road. We'll have some more dates rolling out, plus
there are 2 charity shows we've got lined up, so we'll see you
out there. You can buy
tickets to the Pony concert in our store. Ordering through
us not only helps us out, but it also saves you $3 off the
door price and over $8 each in fees. Thanks all, we're
fired up and excited to get playing again. -CB&TW
(Facebook Event Page: 3.20.2009)
1.17.09 - So we've spent the last few months
focused on hashing out a batch of new songs, and now we're starting to get some dates lined up for the first half of the new year. Chris will be playing a solo show in Hoboken this wednesday where he'll be doing all new material, so if you want to preview some of the new songs we've been working on, check it out. More full band dates will be added soon, so stay in the know, and happy new year!
12.20.08 - In the spirit of the holidays, we're offering up three free
Christmas mp3's, snag them before you get
burnt out on all the holiday music this week. Everyone can listen to
them, but only the extra special folks on the mailing list can download
them, so if you're not signed up, make it happen! Spread the word to a friend, post em up on facebook and
myspace, play them with the fam while opening presents around the tree. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays -The Woods
11.09.08 - Our apologies to anyone who couldn't get into the
Maxwell's show this weekend, it ended up selling out a half hour before the doors opened. We're very grateful for the turnout, and promise to have another date lined up there as soon as we can.
Here's a ton of pictures that were posted on Facebook: Sam
D, Jamie
Z. Got any other pics of the Woods? Let us know where
they're at, or send 'em over: info@andthewoods.com
11.03.08 - Two shows this weekend, Friday
night at Maxwell's in Hoboken with Val Emmich, and the Asbury
Music Awards at the Stone Pony on Saturday. We've been
nominated for 3 awards and will be performing at around 11pm,
you can get the full scoop and purchase tickets here.
As for Maxwell's, we'll be playing around 10pm, and advanced
tickets can be purchased here.
Tickets will probably be available at the door for both these
shows, but play it safe: buy tickets or come early, we'd hate
to see anyone get turned away! Facebook users, head to the
event pages: Maxwell's,
Stone
Pony.
10.22.08 - Band of Gold is available for free download, just click "download" in the music player on the right. Enjoy, and spread the word! We've got 2 more CMJ showcases coming up this weekend, should be a good ol' party scene. We're also pleased to announce that we've been nominated for 3 Asbury Music Awards this year: Top Live Performance, Top Male Vocalist, and Top Jersey Roots Rock Band.
10.10.08 - LOTS of cool things coming up, including a new feature that will give members of The Woods email list access to some exclusive material such as demos, live recordings, and new songs. We'll be adding things sporadically, currently you can hear a version of
"Driver" that Chris recorded before The Woods were around. Also, next week the new song "Band of Gold" will be available for FREE download.
Next Fridays show will be a major blowout, our friends Dan Maxwell and His Band just got added to the lineup with The Hatch and Pawnshop Roses. Then the next week
we've got THREE CMJ dates, we need your support, so we hope you can make it out with some
friends.
9.26.08 - A great time was had by all at NME night yesterday, again we thank you for coming out to what ended up being our third consecutive NYC show to get clobbered with
torrential rain. Alas, no one melted and we hope to see you at the next show,
M.E.A.N.Y. Fest October 17 at the Delancey, and we're bringing along our good friends The Hatch and Pawnshop Roses, guaranteed not to
disappoint.
9.21.08 - Next show is Thursday in NYC, NME night at the Annex, bring a friend! Also, take a gander at this
Woods
tattoo...
9.9.08 - Thanks to everyone who braved the huricane this weekend and came out to the Asbury and NYC
shows (setlist). One of the songs we recorded over the summer will be up here soon as a free download, and we've got some cool shows coming up including NME night in NYC, plus 2 or 3 CMJ dates and a rooftop brooklyn show to be announced soon.

8.1.08 - Hey all, after taking July off to work on some new songs/demos and whatnot, the Woods are gearing back up for some live shows, hope to see you out there! More dates will be trickeling in soon.
6.9.08 - If you've noticed there're less
shows coming up than usual, it's because we've been spending a
lot of time writing and demo-ing: some new things, and some old things we had to put on hold while we were playing so often. We spent the last weekend in the studio, and we hope to share one of the songs with you soon, it's a cover tune. In the mean time, here's an article/interview on us that ran a few weeks ago, give it a read. Make sure you make it to some of the shows we've got coming up!

4.21.08 - The documentary titled "If We Never Stop Moving..." is now available! It's a short length video based on

4.1.08 - We received the most votes from the last
Fearless Music TV
show and they aired another one of our songs, our newest and unreleased song "A Little More Time." Watch the full song here. Thanks to everyone who voted, we were in West Virginia playing the night it aired, and were pumped when we found out we got the most votes, your
unending support is amazing and we appreciate it.

Saturdays Fearless Music TV show. See you in West Virginia
this weekend...

, the band with the most votes will have
another performance aired next week, so show your support, and
enjoy!
3.13.08 - NOTE!!! The show this weekend in
Trenton is Saturday the 15th, NOT Friday! We'll be playing 2 full sets of everything we know and a few things we don't, so come out. There're some cool shows lined up the next few months, next week is a big benefit for Darfur and a date at
World Cafe Live in Philly with our friends Pawnshop Roses for their CD release party. Then we're off to
West Virginia and the Boston area, followed by some
NJ/NYC dates.
2.27.2008 - So the Fearless
Music TV taping was last week and it went great. We fired through 4 songs live,
1 of which will end up on the tv show (you'll know when as soon as we know), and probably
1 other one will end up on their webpage.
There's a review in this week's Aquarian:
"...After
the release of their stellar new EP If We Never Stop
Moving, they've been true to that motto. They are not
about following trends, but about delivering soul laden
performances coupled with timeless songwriting..."
Nice! Read the whole thing here. We're playing NYC, NJ, Philly, West Virginia, and Boston within the next month or so, see you there.
2.6.2008 - Cool feature in this weeks Aquarian,
they had some nice things to say about us in their unsigned artist spotlight, check it out.
We're staying local this month, got some cool NY/NJ shows you
should make it out to. Next Monday we're filming for an
episode of FOX's Fearless
Music, which should air in a month or so (it's a cool
music program that comes on after MAD TV Saturday nights).
Look out for some Boston and West Virginia dates soon, along
with a new 7 minute documentary that should be finished
shortly.
